The Hoosier AMC Club (HAMCC) is honored to host the 2013 AMO International Convention in Auburn, Indiana at the famous Auctions America by RM auction property. Auburn is a town with a tremendous amount  of automotive heritage and devoted to preserving the history of the auto industry. The Auburn automobiles were built here, and part of the factory is now a National Historical Landmark. Seven transportation museums are in DeKalb county where Auburn is located. The community is known as the “Home of the Classics”. They are also noted for being the “Hub of Transportation Heritage”. Every year the town is host to several car club events. Of course their annual ACD show is awesome with some of the finest Auburns, Cords and Duesenbergs in existence! The city hosts a cruise in around the courthouse every month during the summer. The host hotels are located next to I69 at exit 129. La Quinta Inn and Conference Center and the Holiday inn Express are the host hotels.  Photo opportunities are throughout the city with all of the beautiful historic buildings. Auctions America by RM at Auburn is the ideal location for the 2013 AMO show. Auctions America is located next to Interstate 69 at exit 126. Auctions are held here at various times of the year. The field the AMC’s will use is laid out with automotive named lanes dividing the grassy area. Trees providing shade are located throughout the grounds. A large area for vendors is available providing as much space as needed at a reasonable price. Food will be available on site as well as permanent restrooms with showers. The AMO banquet will be held in the Auburn, Cord, Duesenberg (ACD) Automotive Museum. The price of the banquet meal includes access to the ACD museum including the beautiful Auburn showroom built in 1930 with some of the finest collector cars in the world located on the first and second floors.  A gift shop is near the showroom. The ACD museum is a National Historical Landmark. The building was the Auburn Automobile Company headquarters.  The ACD museum is located  in Auburn with easy access from the show field and hotels.  To see the ACD website click on www.automobilemuseum.org.

La Quinta Inn and Conference Center and the Holiday Inn Express are the host hotels, and are located next to I69 at exit 129. Their parking lots are adjacent to each other. Both hotels include breakfast with the room. Another hotel across the street has agreed to open their rooms to AMO members at a special rate once the primary hotels are full.

The National Automotive and Truck Museum (NATMUS) has a variety of vehicles and automotive toys to see plus a gift shop. NATMUS is located beside and behind the ACD museum. Click on www.natmus.org to learn more about the museum.

The Early Ford V8 Museum  may not have AMC’s but is an interesting museum to visit. Click on www.fordv8foundation.org for information about this foundation.

The National Military History Museum and the Automotive and Carriage Museum are located in the Kruse building. The website can be accessed by clicking on www.militaryhistorycenter.org.

The Hoosier Air Museum provides an interesting look into flight. Click on www.hoosierairmuseum.org  to access their website.
